The newly more-politicized “Judicial Appointment Committee” met this week, and Likud MK Nurit Koren proposed advancing a judge not because she brings the greatest perspicacity, but because she is a woman of Yeminite descent, like Koren herself. The other committee members said, “We are Shocked! Shocked, we tells you, to find that there is Politics in this judge-picking establishment!”

Allison, Don, and Noah ask if Koren was really that off-base, and whether a little politicization mightn’t do the white men in robes a little good.

This is a segment from The “Israel and the ‘A Word’” Edition.
