A poll commissioned by Haaretz has found that ultra-Orthodox Jews are happier than Orthodox Jews, who are in turn happier than traditional Jews, who are in turn happier than secular Jews. Former Meretz party chair, Minister of Education, gadfly, and sharp-tongued misanthrope Yossi Sarid writes that these findings make sense since the more religious you are the more of a simpleton you’re likely to be.
