Israeli team’s record-breaking mission went swimmingly

 

An Israeli team broke the Guinness World Record for the longest open water relay swim this week, reaching the Israeli coast after swimming 380 km from Cyprus.

Team leader Ori Sela, known as the “guru of open sea swimming in Israel,” says that besides the physical strain, the endeavor took a huge emotional and psychological toll.

The team, from left to right in the picture, consisted of Ben Enosh, Luc Chetboun, Udi Erel, Ori Sela, Doron Amosi, and Oded Rahav.
