We on the Promised Podcast have, strangely, a sort of personal relationship with Natalie Portman. We may have exaggerated a smidge the intimacy of our relationship. But still, she has been the patron saint of this podcast almost from the very first, and her name has been mentioned in every episode in the past seven years. So how does her decision not to take the prize, after having earlier agreed to take it, meet us, and how does it affect us, personally?
This is a segment from The “What About Natalie?” Edition.

I am very disappointed in her. She claims to not support BDS, but she does exactly that by boycotting.
It is particularly outrageous that she used the word “atrocities” to describe what is happening in Israel (unless one is speaking of atrocities by Hamas and the like).
