The ice cream boycott is cutting deep. That´s why I think it is a kind of culmination point in the big discussion. On one hand I don´t agree with the term “occupied territory”, because it is technically wrong. As far as I know, the sovereign state and Kingdom of Jordan is making claims to it. On the other hand, the State of Israel has conquered it in a war, that was forced upon the State of Israel. But Ben & Jerry is ignoring both claims, but instead is making a third claim, namely that it belongs to third party, a vague Future State of Westbank. I agree with the Podcasts final statement, that Ben & Jerrys motive is simply economic and populistic, in order to have a better standing in the Arab world.
