Israel’s new government to American Jews: F*ck you?

Regrettably the intentions of the extreme right wing towards the non orthodox community are also towards the non Orthodox Jews of Israel and with all due respect to your discussions in Bnei Brak or elsewhere, they don’t give two hoots about the well being of other Jews be they in the USA or IL!
Will they be stopped, who knows, can they be stopped, yes!
The incoming extreme right wing government about to take power has no idea about how views on Israel are going to change. There is growing sympathy for the Palestinian cause among some media personalities and House members like Talib. Colleges and universities have been pushing pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel messages for a long while now.
Remember that with so many reporters in Israel, we get to see disturbing pictures and videos. Wait till crackdowns start and more and more Palestinians are killed. I believe there will be pressure to cut back on the money our government gives to Israel. Sure the old Republican legislators will want to keep their Evangelical Christian supporters happy.
However, I don’t know how much the Jews in the House and Senate can defend Israel. I’m not sure how much the younger generation of American Jews will defend Israel when it is biting the hand that feeds it.
This is a very scary time in the U.S. right now with the rise of Holocaust deniers, antisemites, many radicals with semi-automatic rifles etc. We need a strong Israel and they need a strong America. Saying F/U might feel good right now, but it’s a dangerous attitude!
