Prof. Yossi Turner teaches modern Jewish philosophy at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, and has recently published a book entitled, The Relation to Zion and the Diaspora in 20th Century Jewish Thought: A Study in the Philosophy of Jewish Existence.
He talks to host Gilad Halpern about two major themes that became increasingly pivotal in the Jewish political philosophy of the 20th century: The advent of Zionism, on the one hand, and the integration and growing political power of Jewish communities around the world, on the other.
