In her debut novel Ishmael’s Oranges, author Claire Hajaj talks about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in literary terms – and in personal ones as well.

She recently wrote an article for Newsweek entitled ‘My Jewish Mother, My Palestinian Father, and a Family Torn Apart.’

    Interesting that the quote from the Newsweek piece which the moderator shares mentions the bombs raining down on Gaza; she conveniently doesn’t mention those raining down on Israel.
