The Battle of Ammunition Hill – Pathways

TLV1, in conjunction with Jewish National Fund, is pleased to introduce ‘Pathways,’ an exciting new series of radio reports examining Israel’s history.

Each week we visit a different historical site in Israel, bringing you sounds, stories, and illuminating perspectives.

In this episode, reported and narrated by journalist Mordechai I. Twersky, we visit Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem, the site of one of the fiercest battles of the 1967 Six-Day War.

We hear war veterans recall their memories of fighting on the Hill, which even has its own song.
