I haven’t read the Black LIves Matter platform but from your description they have lost focus and have been co-opted as useful idiots by BDS.
First intersectionality as it is being used now is a mug’s game. It’s being used to get peole to support movements that stand 4 square agains their principles. Thus BDS has created Feminists for Patriarchy and Gays for Homophobia.
Properly intersectionality involves getting people whose needs are congruent to work together for the common good. The best example of this was the mmovement the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King was working on when he was murdered, The Poor People’s Campaign. he recognized that the plight of poor blacks could only be solved in the context of eliminating poverty for all.

Reparations is fools game becuase of the way the races have mixed in the US. Who get them? How much servile ancestry qualifies you? Should Afro-Crribeans be included though they have no US servile ancestry? What about recent african immigrants to the US? Their ancestors may have sold the ancestors of the African-American community into slavary, should they get reparations. For what? The solution is to fight paverty for all poor people not just my group. That’s intersectionality.

I think the use of the word Genocide to describe the evils of the occupation shows a poverty of language. I’m surprised that none of you have pointed out that there are more Palestinians today than in 1967. They are also, I suspect better educated. If this is Genocide than the Israeli government must be the most incompetent perpetrator in history.

Israeli policy seems to owe much to the policies of the interwar governments in East-Central Europe. They were aimed neither at the physical or culdtural destruction of their Jewish population but rather aimed to persuade Jews to leave for somewhere else. The Polish government in particular supporsted Revisionist Zionism.
