Mutar li lehachmi lach? – Am I allowed to compliment you? – מותר לי להחמיא לך

Mutar lehagid? – Are we allowed to say? – מותר להגיד

Mutar li laasot mashehu? – Am I allowed to do something? – מותר לי לעשות משהו

Asur lishtot mashkaot hamim – You’re not allowed to consume hot drinks – אסור לשתות משקאות חמים

Mayim, mutar – מים, מותר – Water is allowed

Mutar yain ba-herayon? – Is wine allowed during pregnancy? – מותר יין בהריון

Kama sukar mutar be-yom? – How much sugar are you allowed to consume per day? – כמה סוכר מותר ביום

Mutar ananas le-klavim? – Are you allowed to give dogs pineapple? – מותר אננס לכלבים

Lama la mutar? – How come she is allowed? – למה לה מותר

Lama lahem mutar? – How come they are allowed? – למה להם מותר

Lahem mutar hakol! – They are allowed to do everything! –  להם מותר הכל

Rak Lecha Mutar? – Only you’re allowed? – רק לך מותר

Rak lachem mutar? – Only you’re allowed? – רק לכם מותר

Mutar li rak tipa – I am allowed just a tiny bit – מותר לי רק טיפה
