Why have bands vanished from Israel’s hit parades, replaced by solo singers?

  1. The answer I think is is that radio play is almost irrelevant today.
Young indie type bands play at all the festivals, also in Europe and all the shit you hear on radio is meaningless and just there to attract middle aged people and advertisers
By the way, even way back when, most of the good bands wouldn’t get real radio play, certainly in daytime radio and were only really big on campus radio.
Personally I just listen to Kol HaCamus and Kol HaMusica.
    88fm has been castrated.
